As we all know, fat is a substance that helps the body metabolize some vitamins and keep our skin looking healthy. It is also the main way the body stores up energy. But of course, having too much is not a good thing. Cellulite, on the other hand, is a popular term to describe fat deposits under the skin. It is characterized by a dimpled or orange peel appearance due to the structural changes underneath the skin’s top layer. which is a perfectly normal and harmless condition, however is a cosmetic concern of many.

The body contouring treatments are done manually employing a massage technique. The session begins with 2 minutes of heat and then a prolonged period of cold and then back to heat. The purpose of the treatment is to to lower the temperature of the fat cells enough to cause what is known as the phenomenon of apoptosis. This phenomenon is triggered when the temperature of the fat tissue is between 12 C to 17 C which causes these fat cells to die without causing any skin damage or damage to other cells. The fat cells are then naturally passed through sweat and urine. Through study, this technique is definitely effective but results would vary for every individual. Part of the fat cells is eliminated during sessions, as the rest would be eliminated within the 2-week gap period to your next session.

How to prepare for your session?
On the day of your treatment, DO NOT eat sugar or carbohydrates 2-3 hours before your session. This applies to all kinds of sugars (pasta, rice, cereals…) If you need to eat, you can eat veggies and a healthy protein (fish, chicken).
Avoid exercise directly before a session. It will be harder to cool the body down.
For optimal results, maintain the best possible diet and lifestyle to accompany the treatment (drink plenty of water).
What to wear:
Wear something comfortable. Depending on your treatment and which areas of the body we are working on, wear underwear and bra you are comfortable taking measurements and progression photos in.
How often should I do Cryo T-Shock?
The fat removal and cellulite reduction program can be done once every 14 days. The reason being, to allow your body to metabolize and flush out the fat cells that died during the process of the session, without overloading the system. It is recommended that following the treatment that you do a 30-minute vigorous workout or 30-minute whole-body massage on the area done to promote lymphatic drainage and accelerate the benefits of the session. You may be able to do a maximum of two parts a session. This is to not overload the body’s pathways. There is also a strong internal cooling of the tissues, so treating more zones at the same time could cause hypothermia and fatigue.
